Hand Painted Scarf – Swirling Sun

‘Swirling Sun’ silk scarf is lightweight but warm with a soft sheen and elegant drape that will attract compliments. It’s also lovely as a neck scarf  when folded double. It is unique wearable art – created on fine silk!

For mailing I have chosen packaging that is 100% recyclable, wrapping your scarf in tissue paper and placing it inside a C5 size postal mailer.  A card with care instructions is enclosed and the circular sticker securing the tissue reads ‘ Handmade with love by Scenic Silks’. Postage is free!

‘Swirling Sun’ scarf was painted on fine quality 100% silk crêpe de chine.  The design was drawn with wax resist, then all traces of wax were removed during the steaming process and at the same time the scarf became colourfast. It has my signature in small letters, drawn with wax, at one corner. The scarf has hand rolled edges.
